Organic Green Tea with Tulsi Himalayan + Ayurvedic Immunity Blend

Tulsi holy basil, Ocimum tenuiflorum is one of the most revered herbs in Ayurvedic medicine. Not revered in the vague, marketing-friendly sense, but specifically: it has been used in Indian traditional medicine for over 3,000 years as an adaptogen a substance that helps the body adapt to stress and maintain physiological balance. Combining it with high-altitude Himalayan green tea creates a blend where the EGCG antioxidants of the tea work alongside tulsi’s adaptogenic compounds.

This is not a flavoured tea with artificial tulsi extract. It is real holy basil from a genuine Himalayan source, blended with our organic green tea base.

How to brew Tulsi Green Tea

  • Water temperature: 75–80°C. Tulsi is also sensitive to boiling water it makes the tea more bitter and can degrade delicate volatile compounds.
  • Amount: 1 teaspoon per 200ml.
  • Steep time: 3–4 minutes. Slightly longer than plain green tea to allow the tulsi compounds to infuse fully.
  • With honey: A teaspoon of raw honey (added when slightly cooled) enhances the herbal character and adds its own mild antimicrobial properties.
  • Caffeine note: Contains moderate caffeine from the green tea base. Not recommended as a late-evening drink for caffeine-sensitive individuals.

Who is this tea for?

This blend suits buyers who want more than a standard green tea specifically, the added adaptogenic support of tulsi. It's particularly well-suited to:

  • People who already take or value tulsi (kadha, tulsi drops) as an immunity tonic.
  • Those managing high-stress periods who want an adaptogen in their daily routine.
  • People transitioning from regular chai to a healthier morning drink who want herbal familiarity.
  • Buyers looking for a gentler immunity-supporting ritual not a pharmaceutical intervention.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as plain tulsi kadha (decoction)?

No tulsi kadha is typically a strong boiled decoction of fresh or dried tulsi, often combined with ginger, black pepper, and other spices. This is a more delicate green tea infusion with tulsi as a complementary ingredient rather than the dominant base. It has a lighter, greener flavour with tulsi's characteristic clove-like herbal note present but not overwhelming.

Can I drink this if I'm on prescription medication?

Tulsi has mild adaptogenic effects and very rare interactions with some medications in high doses. At the amounts present in a daily cup of blended tea, significant interactions are unlikely. However, if you are on immunosuppressive medication or blood thinners, consult your doctor before making any herbal tea a daily habit.

How is this different from the Tulsi-Ginger blend?

The Green Tea with Tulsi is the calmer of the two tulsi's herbal note with green tea's clarity. The Green Tea with Tulsi & Ginger adds ginger's warming heat, making it stronger and more stimulating better for cold days, illness prevention routines, or those who specifically want ginger's digestive benefits.
